Title: Birthday Wish

Desc.: With old age, we lose our independence. I used magazine print on the cake to symbolize a new age, while the newspaper in the back represents an old past. I included the young girl in the back to juxtapose the difference of emotions towards birthdays at different ages. I chose to use cardboard as the face to naturally create wrinkles and painted the eyes so that they would pop to create an uneasy feeling towards the viewer.
